"When will war end ?"

Projection d’œuvres d’art vidéo et rencontre avec des artistes ukrainiens et Alexandra Khalepa dans le cadre du projet “Quand la guerre prendra-t-elle fin ?”.

Initié par Alexandra Khalepa durant sa résidence à la Villa Arson, le projet « When will war end ? » a pour objectif de créer un espace protégé permettant aux artistes numériques de continuer à créer malgré la guerre et de diffuser leurs créations témoignant ainsi du conflit en cours. Depuis le mois d’avril, Alexandra Khalepa collecte et analyse les œuvres d’art vidéo réalisées par de jeunes artistes qui travaillent avec les nouveaux médias en réponse à un appel à projets diffusé sur les réseaux sociaux. Durant cette soirée, elle présentera une sélection d’œuvres d’art vidéo et dialoguera avec les artistes et les membres de la communauté Carbon. 

Alexandra Khalepa est architecte, chercheuse en art, fondatrice de Carbon Art Residency et curatrice de la Carbon Community en Ukraine. Sa résidence à la Villa Arson bénéficie du Fonds Spécial Culture PAUSE – Solidarité Ukraine porté par le Collège de France.

Screening of video artworks by Alexandra Khalepa within the “When will war end?” project.

Initiated by Alexandra Khalepa during her residency at Villa Arson, the “When will war end?” project aims to create a safe space for Ukrainian digital artists to continue creating despite the war and to spread artistic messages testifying to the ongoing conflict.

Since April, Alexandra Khalepa has been collecting and analyzing video artworks by young Ukrainian artists working with new media in response to a call for projects posted on social networks. 

During the evening, she will present a selection of video artworks and will dialogue with the artists and members of the Carbon community.

Alexandra Khalepa is an architect, art researcher, founder of the Carbon Art Residency and curator of the Carbon Community in Ukraine. Her residency at the Villa Arson is supported by the PAUSE – Solidarity Ukraine Special Cultural Fund run by Collège de France.
