The gardens of Villa Arson are open to the public every afternoon throughout the year, including outside exhibition periods. Designed by the architect Michel Marot, the Villa Arson’s modern garden is organised around a central lawn punctuated by paved circular beds, each centred around a plant or, more often, a tree. Sourced from all five continents, the garden’s vegetation reflects the diversity of its origins and symbolises Villa Arson’s openness to the world.

As part of After Villa, a programme supporting the professional development of recent Villa Arson graduates, Villa Arson has established a partnership with La Station, an independent centre for the production and dissemination of contemporary art in Nice. Conceived as a post-graduate incubator and a transitional space into the professional art world, the programme is designed to support artists during the early years of their practice by providing a collective working environment, a context for critical exchange, and concrete opportunities for networking and public exposure.

For the Summer School, Barbara Noiret proposes an artistic and ecological immersion within the grounds of Villa Arson, conceived by Michel Marot as an integrated landscape architecture. Its terraces, patios and Mediterranean gardens unfold in constant dialogue with light, climate and artistic practices. Participants will be invited to cultivate an attentiveness to living systems and shared experience, at the intersection of contemporary ecological concerns.

Villa Arson is a member of Plein Sud, the collaborative network bringing together the leading players in the visual arts scene across Southern France. Each May, and for the sixth consecutive year, the Plein Sud network unveils its guide to summer exhibitions of contemporary and modern art in the South of France. This unique artistic journey spans 80 venues along the Mediterranean coast, from Céret to Menton, offering an exclusive preview to help you plan your next cultural escapes in the South.

Villa Arson is pleased to take part in the fifth edition of the Franco-British artist residency programme Magnetic. Launched in 2022 under the aegis of Fluxus Art Projects, Magnetic is the result of a collaboration between the Institut français du Royaume-Uni and the UK’s public arts funding bodies—the three Arts Councils of England, Wales, and Northern Ireland—and, for Scotland, Creative Scotland. These partners are joined by the Institut français in Paris, the French Ministry of Culture, and the British Council. The call for applications is open until 2 June 2026.
