This call for applications is open to artists who graduated from Villa Arson within the last three years.
after villa program
As part of the After Villa program, an initiative designed to support the professional integration of recent graduates of Villa Arson, Villa Arson is developing a partnership with La Station, an independent venue for the production and presentation of contemporary art in Nice.
Conceived as a post-graduation incubator and a transitional space toward the professional field, this program aims to support artists during their first years of practice by offering them a collaborative work context, a critical environment, and concrete opportunities for networking and exhibition.
Located at the heart of Nice’s art scene, La Station provides an ecosystem particularly conducive to this dynamic. The program is based on immersion within the space and proximity to the permanent resident artists, fostering the exchange of practices, the sharing of experiences, and gradual integration into a local professional network.
This first edition of the program is designed as a period of research, production, and experimentation, allowing artists to develop their work while participating in an active collective environment.
objectives
The program aims to support recent graduates during a pivotal stage in their careers by providing a professional framework for production embedded within an active artistic environment. It seeks to foster their autonomy, expand their professional networks and strengthen their ability to develop projects within collective and public-facing contexts.
The program also aims to reinforce the ties between Villa Arson, its alumni and the key players of Nice’s art scene, making the residency a space of exchange and circulation between the school, the independent art venue, artists and audiences.
