Villa Arson brings together on a single estate perched on the Colline Saint-Barthélemy a national art school, a contemporary art centre and an artist residency, with a view across the entire city. It is in its
gardens that Jen Cardini presents the opening date of their curated weekend on 11 July, before closing on Sunday 12 on the beach at Hôtel Amour.

An unclassifiable and vertiginous live set: the latest album by Simo Cell and Abdullah Miniawy, praised by Resident Advisor and released on the Dekmantel label, brings together bass mutations,
electrified trumpet and raw vocals somewhere between dubstep, jazz and contemporary psychedelia.
The evening also features DJ sets from Jen Cardini and Nice-based producer and DJ Aawadh.

Beyond their work as a DJ and producer, Jen Cardini has built over the years a curatorial vision deeply rooted in the heritage of electronic music, oriented towards transmission and emerging creation – a vision that has translated for over 15 years into running their labels, including Correspondant and their Nightclubbing event series. This Nice weekend also bears witness to a singular connection with this territory: it is here that they first discovered electronic music and spent their earliest nights behind the decks – long before establishing themselves as one of the central figures of the international scene, from iconic clubs like Berghain and Bassiani to the stages of Glastonbury, Primavera Sound and Sonar, and institutions including MoMA PS1 and Centre Pompidou.
AAWADH
Aawadh is an electronic music artist based in Nice, France. For over 15 years he has been delivering hypnotic, groove-driven sets and productions rooted in organic textures, polyrhythms, and immersive atmospheres. His debut album Dyadica (Annulled Music, 2025) quickly gained recognition and received support across the scene, appearing in sets at leading festivals and events including Dekmantel Festival, Draaimolen, and Mostra BCN. He has since expanded this momentum with Nerea EP on Sungate Records, and a contribution to Willow Pitch, a Various Artists compilation curated by EMA on Woozy Dub. A resident at Montpellier’s Tempelhof Club and Dance To Resist event, he also curates UMA Experience in Nice – an ongoing platform for carefully designed musical journeys.
Abdullah Miniawy & Simo Cell
Revealed to wider audiences through his powerful and hypnotic performance Le Cri du Caire (awarded at the Victoires du Jazz in the World Music Album category) Egyptian multidisciplinary artist Abdullah Miniawy brings a voice of haunting beauty and profound intensity. In 2020, he joined forces with Simo Cell, the French producer known for translating British club influences into fragmented electronic forms, to release Kill Me or Negotiate on the BFDM label. The album boldly explores new musical territory, shaped by Simo’s hypermodern sensibility, soulful trumpet lines and Abdullah’s Eastern poetry. Together, they craft a sonic landscape that bridges tradition and experimentation — essential listening for enthusiasts of folk futurism, guttural grooves and the dancefloors of tomorrow.
