Priscilla Benyahia at 100% L’EXPO

Congratulations to Priscilla Benyahia, a 2023 graduate, on her participation in the 2026 edition of 100% L’EXPO, presented from April 8 to 26, 2026 at the Grande Halle de la Villette.

Priscilla Benyahia (born in 1999)

A French-Algerian artist based in Paris, Priscilla develops an artistic practice at the intersection of installation, sculpture, image-making and publishing. Her practice flourishes through her fascination with archives and language as sites of resistance, translated into images and objects. She examines the space between the literal and irony and wordplay, creating shifts in meaning that enable the deconstruction of dominant narratives. Her materials are chosen for their homonymic potential or their historical charge, highlighting the transformative power of words and the way physical forms shape perception. Her work has been presented in a solo exhibition at Centre Civic Can Felipa (Barcelona) as well as in various group exhibitions, notably in Paris (Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles, Borjesson Perotti Gallery, The Window), in Nice (Villa Arson art centre), in Barcelona (200CENT) and in Leipzig (Plast Space). She is also the recipient of the 2025 Utopi.e Prize. She has recently taken part in residency programmes such as Onassis AiR (Athens), Entorns (Spain) and La Villa Belleville in Paris.

100% L’EXPO at the Grande Halle de La Villette

Since its creation in 2018, 100% L’EXPO has offered a demanding overview of emerging French art, with free and open access. Each year, La Villette gives carte blanche to a selection of recently graduated artists, invited to take over the Grande Halle with new and committed works. Conceived as a professional springboard, 100% L’EXPO provides many of these artists with a first experience of a large-scale group exhibition.
