Villa Arson is continuing and strengthening its commitment to arts and cultural education in 2026, closely involving its alumni in several projects carried out with schools and cultural partners in the region. Following calls for applications launched in the fall of 2025, five artists who graduated from Villa Arson were selected to work with different audiences.
Initiated and supported by the art center’s public programs department, these projects are fully aligned with the objectives of Arts and Cultural Education (EAC): promoting access to culture for all young people, encouraging encounters with artists, and developing critical thinking and experimentation through artistic practice.
Flo*Souad Benaddi and Évangéline Font
For the 2026 edition of the Festival des Arts pour les Écoles (FAPE), Flo*Souad Benaddi and Évangéline Font have been selected to design two artistic workshops for elementary school classes. Centered on the theme “The Truth of Fiction” (or “Fact vs. Fiction”), these workshops will result in works designed for outdoor presentation in the gardens of Villa Arson.
Sofia Rocha Mondragon
Sofia Rocha Mondragon is participating in a new Arts and Cultural Education project led in partnership with the National Museum of Natural History and the Val Rahmeh Botanical Garden in Menton. This initiative bridges artistic practices, science, and environmental awareness.
Paloma Rouillier
As part of the J.H. Fabre middle school film workshop, Paloma Rouillier will guide 9th grade students through the creation of a short film, from scriptwriting to editing. Filming will take place in the gardens and architecture of Villa Arson, offering students a total immersion in a place of contemporary creation.
David Ruvet
Damien Ruvet has been selected to mentor a 7th grade class from J.H. Fabre Middle School (Nice Nord) on a collaborative project focused on the school’s visual identity. Conducted alongside architects Leslie Drouet and Sara Alfieri, the project involves designing a work for the gable end of the main building, incorporating sustainable materials and working with light.
