Née en 1986 à Téhéran (Iran), Sepideh Zamani a travaillé en tant que graphiste dans la publicité, puis a obtenu un Bachelor of Fine Art en sculpture à l’université des Arts de Téhéran.
De 2008 à 2014, elle est membre co-fondatrice de Tehran Carnival, collectif d’artistes composé exclusivement de femmes, connu pour ses interventions et performances dans l’espace public à Téhéran.
En 2020, Sepideh Zamani est lauréate du programme de résidence à la Jan van Eyck Academie à Maastricht (Pays-Bas).
L’utilisation du papier mâché dans ses sculptures et installations reflète à la fois son désir de produire rapidement et son intention de fabriquer des pièces avec un budget limité.

Born in 1986 in Tehran (Iran), Sepideh Zamani worked as a graphic designer in advertising agencies before obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Art in sculpture at Tehran University of the Arts.
Between 2008 and 2014, she was a founding member of Tehran Carnival, an all-women artists’ collective known for its interventions and performances in public spaces in Tehran.
In 2020, she was a laureate of the year-long residency program at Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht (Netherlands).
The use of papier maché in her sculptures and installations reflects both her desire to produce quickly and her intention to make artworks on a limited budget.
