Né en 1994 à Tunis (Tunisie), Achref Bettaieb est un vidéaste dont les films, les photographies et les installations multimédias interrogent les contrastes et complémentarités du comportement humain, les rythmes sociaux et l’interaction entre le visible et l’invisible.
Sa passion pour le skate et son expérience au sein de la communauté urbaine de Tunis ont façonné son travail et son langage visuel.
Achref Bettaieb a étudié le montage vidéo à l’École d’art et de décoration de Tunis, tout en travaillant dans le domaine cinématographique.
Il a participé à des expositions collectives à Tunis, telles que Building Blocks à B7L9 (2021) et The Further you throw it, the nearer it gets (2021). Son travail vidéo a été montré à Tunis dans la section K OFF du Gabès Cinéma Fen (festival de cinéma, art vidéo et réalité virtuelle) et au festival Dream City en 2022.
Il travaille actuellement sur la compréhension du mouvement et du rythme sous différentes formes dans l’espace et le temps.
Du 1er au 3 décembre 2023, Achref Bettaieb participe au festival Objectif Vidéo Nice (OVNi). Ses oeuvres sont présentées à l’hôtel Le Deck by HappyCulture dans le cadre du programme OVNi curateur invité.
La résidence d’Achref Bettaieb est organisée en partenariat avec le 32bis, centre d’art contemporain à Tunis. Hadrien Pellereau, diplômé de la Villa Arson en 2021 et lauréat du prix SAM 2022, a été accueilli en résidence au 32bis du 15 mai au 1er juillet 2023.

Achref Bettaieb (b. 1994, Tunis) is a video artist whose films, photographs and multi-media installations explore the contrasts and complementarities of human behavior, social rhythms and the interplay between the visible and the invisible.
His passion for skating and experience within the urban community in Tunis have shaped his work and visual language.
Achref studied video editing at the School of art and decoration in Tunis while working in the field of cinema.
He participated in various group exhibitions in Tunis, such as Building Blocks at B7L9 (2021), The Further you throw it, the nearer it gets (2021). His work was shown in the K OFF section of the Gabès Cinema Fen (cinema, video art and virtual reality festival) and in the Dream City Festival in Tunis in 2022.
He is currently working on understanding movement and rhythm in their different shapes in space and time.
Achref Bettaieb’s residency is organized in partnership with 32bis contemporary art center in Tunis. Hadrien Pellereau, who graduated from Villa Arson in 2021 and won the 2022 SAM x Villa Arson art prize, was in residency at 32bis from May 15 to July 1, 2023.
