Villa Arson’s administration is steered by:
- a deliberative body: the Board of Directors
- a pedagogical body: the Commission for Research, Pedagogy and Student Life
- administrative bodies: the Technical Committee and the Health, Safety and Working Conditions Committee.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors deliberates on the school’s program and progress report; matters relating to the life of the school and its organization; internal regulations; the allocation of funds to the school’s various activities; its budget and modifications; and its financial account.
A commission for research, teaching and student life
A Commission for Research, Teaching and Student Life, chaired by the Director, is consulted on issues affecting teaching. In particular, it examines the possibility of allocating vacant or newly created teaching posts between the various disciplines taught at the school.
A technical committee
The Technical Committee (TC) is a consultative body responsible for giving its opinion on issues and projects relating to the organization and operation of departments. It focuses on issues relating to staff numbers; jobs and skills; statutory rules; working methods; broad guidelines for the school’s compensation policy; training; professional integration and equality; and the fight against discrimination. It is made up of staff representatives (three permanent members/three alternates) and representatives of the administration. At each meeting, the President may invite experts and administrative representatives concerned by the issues or draft texts submitted to the Committee for its opinion.
Health, safety and working conditions committee
The Comité d’Hygiène, de Sécurité et des Conditions de Travail (CHSCT – health, safety and working conditions committee) contributes to protecting the health and improving the safety of school employees. It is made up of staff representatives (three permanent members/three alternates) and management representatives. It oversees the application of rules relating to the protection and safety of employees, and analyzes working conditions and related risks. The CHSCT offers opinions on proposals for improvement on its own initiative, or at the suggestion of the administration or the TC. In the event of serious risk or changes in working conditions, the CHSCT may call in an accredited expert to provide a precise assessment of the situation. The CHSCT, like the TC, may also call on the services of qualified experts, at the request of staff representatives or management.
