International Mobility for Students

Villa Arson supports and facilitates student mobility projects, thereby promoting the acquisition of new skills, exposure to different working methods and environments, and active preparation for building their artistic careers.

As a signatory to the European Charter for Higher Education, the institution participates in the Erasmus+ program, which supports the mobility of students, faculty, and staff across Europe.

International mobility is an essential part of the educational experience.

From the second year of study (Bachelor’s Year 2), students have the opportunity to complete a three-month internship in Europe, accredited with 30 ECTS credits.

In the fourth year (Master’s Year 1), they undertake a minimum three-month internship abroad with professionals in the cultural sector, or a one-semester study mobility as part of the Erasmus+ program or through specific agreements with higher education institutions in other countries.

The internship and the study semester abroad are accredited with 30 ECTS credits.

International mobility projects are prepared starting in the third year. Information sessions are organized by the International Relations Office between October and January. Applications for study mobility must be submitted to the International Relations Office (international@villa-arson.fr) before the end of February for a placement in the first semester of the following academic year.

The application file includes:

  • an online form to be completed;
  • a CV and a cover letter;
  • a PDF portfolio presenting around ten recent artistic works.

International mobility projects are approved by the Academic Coordination and the International Relations Office, and are formalized through the signing of a study contract or internship agreement at least one month before the departure date.

A collective feedback session on the stays abroad is organized each year in February, upon the students’ return.
