Villa Arson offers art education with an international focus, promoting exchanges and projects in connection with professionals in the sector. The training program gives a privileged place to international experience, through interactions with personalities from the art world invited throughout the year, internships, and international research and creation workshops proposed by the teachers.

Building on the quality of its educational offerings, facilities, and environment, and its ability to host artists from around the world, Villa Arson has established numerous partnerships with higher education art institutions, places of experimentation, production, and dissemination of contemporary art in Europe and the rest of the world.

The change of scenery is an essential experience for artistic openness and decentering. It allows students to acquire new knowledge, develop their skills, and build their own networks.

Since 2019, international mobility has been strongly encouraged during the curriculum. Students have the opportunity to study abroad for a semester or complete an internship of at least three months. Mobility projects are deployed particularly within the framework of agreements concluded with 31 partner institutions abroad, including 24 within the European Union. The regular updating of this mapping allows for a closer articulation of student mobility with teaching and research themes and invitations of artists and researchers in residence.

As a signatory of the European Charter for Higher Education (2021 – 2027), the institution participates in the Erasmus+ program which supports the mobility of students, teachers, and staff between the 27 member countries of the European Union and 6 third countries.

By developing the hosting of artists and researchers from around the world in residence, Villa Arson facilitates intercultural dialogue and promotes the professional integration of its students.

Partnerships have been established with numerous institutions responding to the specific production and research needs of students and recognized for the quality of their artistic or pedagogical environment (higher education institutions, places of residence, experimentation, production, and dissemination of contemporary art) in Europe and the rest of the world.

To stay close to the questions of a changing world and contemporary creation, the school also encourages and supports the international activities of its teachers, particularly through the organization of study trips or participation in European cooperation projects.

Since 2019, Villa Arson has been a member of the ELIA network (European League of Institutes of the Arts), which promotes professional exchanges and the development of higher education in the arts and has more than 280 members in 48 countries.
