Summer School of Art Practices Day 5

From July 8 to 12, 2025, the Villa Arson Art Center invites teenagers and adults to participate in the summer school of art practices Underwater Constellation. Proposed by artist Gil Lekh, this summer school is designed as a space-time for learning, creating, and sharing in resonance with the exhibition Becoming Ocean: a social conversation about the Ocean. Entirely free, this event is accessible upon registration.
Program
Day 5 – Being water
In resonance with the Liquid Grounds exhibition
To close the week, we open a space for listening to what lies between inside and outside. To what extent are our bodies separated from their surroundings? Are we in or out of the water? The aim is to consider creation as a place of care, arrangement, sharing and contact.
Body practice: collective movement, body writing, oral archives.
Workshop: Casting and exhibition.
Starting with a mold of a body part, participants will explore material, touch and care. A reflection will be proposed around the notion of “giving to see” through an exhibition of the creations made during the week.
Practical Information
Free with registration (14 years and over)
No pre-requisites. People in vulnerable situations are welcome (we’ll make sure that conditions are adapted).
After registration, the artist will contact participants to prepare the workshops.
