Summer School of Art Practices Day 3

From July 8 to 12, 2025, the Villa Arson Art Center invites teenagers and adults to take part in the Constellation subaquatique summer art school. Curated by artist Gil Lekh, this summer school is conceived as a space-time for learning, creating and sharing, in resonance with the exhibition Becoming Ocean: a social conversation about the Ocean. Entirely free of charge, this event is open to all upon registration.
Program
Day 3 – Blue Cosmogonies: learning from the Ocean
In resonance with the work Conversation métabolique – Antoine Bertin from the exhibition Becoming Ocean
Her words do not fall on the ground – Courtney Desiree Morris
What if the ocean were a matrix of thought? We’ll delve into fluid narratives and cosmologies that give water the power to dream, transmit and connect, by questioning shared experiences.
Body practice: What’s your totem animal?
Workshop: Cyanotype.
Based on the stories explored and shared experiences linked to water, participants will be invited to compose a totem-being, revealing an aquatic memory, using the cyanotype photographic process.
Practical information
Free with registration (14 years and over)
No pre-requisites. People in vulnerable situations are welcome (we’ll make sure that conditions are adapted).
After registration, the artist will contact participants to prepare the workshops.
