Practical information – the library
The library is open to the public free of charge every year from 3 October to 30 June.
Opening hours
- Monday to Friday, 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
- Closed on Mondays and during school holidays
Consulting the collections
- Documents in the reading room are freely accessible
- There is a delay to access documents held in storage
Online catalogues
The complete list of our publications is accessible via the UCA university library catalogue (type: Bibliothèque > Villa Arson). Search the catalogue.
Periodicals are listed on Sudoc. Search for a periodical.
Loans
Loans are reserved for students and staff working at Villa Arson or UCA. To register, bring a passport photo and your student card.
Readers can borrow up to seven printed items and two audiovisual items for a period of up to three weeks, with the exception of standard reference books and delicate/rare books, which cannot be borrowed. The loan can be extended once if the item is not already overdue.

- Photocopier (individual password and printing account to be credited via the admin staff)
- Self-access computers with an internet connection

The Villa Arson library is part of the IUB (“Interrogez un bibliothécaire”) network. If you have any questions about university library opening hours, how to access resources, or any other requests about library resources, get in touch.
University library experts will reply within three days (from receipt of the question, and excluding weekends, public holidays and periods when libraries are closed).
