For its second edition, the Prix Marguerite et Méthode Keskar 2024 is awarded to Evangeline Font, who graduated from Villa Arson in 2023. Created by the Fondation Marguerite et Keskar Method – under the auspices of the Fondation de France – the Prix Marguerite et Keskar Method rewards the work of a young artist under the age of 40 who has graduated from the Villa Arson and is active in painting or sculpture.

the winner

Évangeline Font was born in 1996. She holds a BTS in textile design from Olivier de Serres, followed by a DNSEP from Villa Arson. She is developing a multi-disciplinary practice in which natural dyeing techniques and traditional sculpture (modeling/molding/ceramics) are combined in installations that resemble domestic spaces. She transports us with her into dreams, inspired by feminist thought and science fiction. She travels into imaginary worlds composed of past architectures. As she wanders through them, she discovers concepts and ideas in concrete places that help her interpret the world, observe and evoke our lifestyles that stifle the future. Evangeline is interested in how the non-human inhabits cities. She imagines other possibilities by creating a personal mythology, dream projections and visual narratives.
